Our Meat Origins

We import our meat from First Light Foods in New Zealand

All our animals are 100% grass-fed on free-range pastures, as nature intended. The ingredients on the packet are fresh water, clean air, and sunshine. It is almost an unfair advantage having New Zealand as our farm, but the best grass in the world isn’t enough to stake our claim to having the best grass-fed meat in the world. Everything we do is focused around producing meat that is tasty, tender and juicy every time. We cannot give you the formula, suffice to say it includes special genetics, New Zealand’s best farmers, stress-free animals, and a supply chain managed by people who understand and value the perfect steak.

The First Light Wagyu Producer Group is a band of pioneers. They did the unthinkable and took Wagyu cattle out of their pens and raised them on grass. It hasn’t been easy, but being a pioneer never is. The result of all their hard work is the most extraordinarily tender, marbled grass-fed beef, which beef experts all over the world are describing as the best grass-fed beef in the world.

The First Light Venison Producer Group is a small group of farmers that specialise in producing young red deer. We pride ourselves on the quality of the animals and the venison we produce - success is the smile we get when someone tries our venison and discovers how tender, healthy and delicious it is.
